Love for the Children Academy
Empowering through Education
Project HEAL partners with Love for the Children Ethiopia, an organization based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In September 2016, Love for the Children opened an Academy in Chacha, Ethiopia, called Love for the Children Academy (LFCA). Chacha is located approximately 70 miles north of Addis Ababa and is home to the poorest of the poor in the region.
Since its opening, 213 students have been sponsored and are enrolled in school. Thanks to Project HEAL's monthly student sponsorship program, each student receives two meals a day, a yearly uniform, a backpack and all necessary school supplies. In addition, we provide healthcare as needed for students and their immediate family along with annual physicals. In a joint effort with Love for the Children Ethiopia, Project HEAL will provide the tools and resources necessary to create income generating programs for the parents of our students.
Project HEAL and Love for the Children Ethiopia plan to increase the size of LFCA with each passing school year. Our inaugural class will continue through their final year of high school.
